A root canal is a treatment used to repair and save a tooth that is badly decayed or has become infected. During the procedure, the nerve and pulp are removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and filled. The tooth is then sealed with a filling or crown.
We follow the quality guidelines set down by the European Society of Endontology using, for example, only single use instruments and dental dams. Sometimes, the root of the tooth will be very long or curved. If this is the case, we may refer you to an endodonist who will have the specialised equipment and the expertise to treat you. However, there is no 100% guarantee of success with any root canal treatment.
