It’s never too late, or too early, to start looking after your teeth. We welcome children to the practice and encourage good dental habits from an early age.
Advice on diet and nutrition is doubly beneficial. It's good for your children’s dental health and for their general health into the future. Good habits established at an early age will last a lifetime and the money that is invested in your children’s teeth now will reap long term rewards.
If your dentist recommends it, hygiene appointments are also available.
What to say to your child before the first appointment?
Be positive! Say something like, "the dentist will check your smile and count your teeth". After the appointment, younger children (and well-behaved parents!) receive a sticker.
Children will be treated free of charge up until their seventh birthday, providing their parent attends the practice regularly. However, we do reserve the right to charge for surgery time if the child needs a particularly large amount of treatment.
Monthly payment scheme for children
For children aged 7 to 18 we offer a monthly payment scheme. The benefits to you are:
• No set up fee
• Two check-ups per year
• X-rays as necessary
• Preventative sealing of adult teeth as necessary
• Out-of-hours emergency cover provided locally for extra peace of mind
• Supplementary insurance cover, supported by a 24-hour, worldwide dental injury and emergency helpline
You will pay for any treatment required in addition to this, but you will benefit from a discount on our usual fees.
I am so grateful for the kindess you showed towards myself and my son last week. He was in agony and I was in such a state. I know you took time out of your day to attend to us. Thank you!
